Perfect Location with Charming Atmosphere

My double room was quaint, with lovely vintage decor and a personal fridge. The staff were helpful. I only wish the bathroom could use a little updating to match the room's charm.

The room was disappointingly small and the service ranged from indifferent to unhelpful, particularly when seeking assistance with local transportation. Daily housekeeping was adequate, but the décor felt neglected. Breakfast options were limited but included complimentary Belgian waffles.

We had such a cozy stay, with a nice bottle of wine waiting for us and the air conditioning really saving the day during the heat. The hotel's nice little courtyard and quiet lounge were perfect spots to unwind after exploring. Just a heads up, the room was on the smaller side, but that didn’t bother us too much. 😊

I loved the charming ambiance of the Castex Hotel, with lovely wood paneling and good wrought iron accents. It was easily accessible with multiple nearby metro stops, very convenient for my outings around Paris.

This hotel is conveniently located near the Bastille metro. Our two connecting rooms were perfect for keeping our teenagers nearby, while still giving us some privacy. The staff was genuinely warm and eager to help with local tips.

My kids wished for a better breakfast variety. Some fresh fruit or veggies would have been nice.

Oh la la! The culinary scene nearby was an absolute delight-Le Week End for that classic French vibe and Maria Loca for some fab bites that was just like a warm hug in food form. Plus, the cozy room was a hidden gem tucked away from the street noise.

Now, a cheeky twist comes from the front desk gent with the ponytail. He was less than friendly, especially when declining to hold a package for a friend while another had no issue. His 'Because I said so' on payment was a classic disconnect.

Perfect for Families with Teens

The location was SUPER convenient! Only a few minutes walk to the Metro. We had adjoining rooms which was perfect for our teenagers. Each with their own bathroom!

The Double Room was cozy, but it was definitely on the small side. The bed was super comfy, which I appreciated after long days of exploring. Felt clean and tidy with daily housekeeping, nice. I liked having the vintage decor mixed with modern amenities. Wi-Fi worked well too. Only downside was that the bathroom could use a bit of updating-some tiles were cracked and the grout looked a little tired. But overall, it was a pleasant stay.

The room felt a bit cramped, but it was clean and quiet, awesome for a good night's sleep. I appreciated the kettle and coffee facilities, but it would have been nice to have daily refreshes of the supplies. The bathroom needed some upgrades. The shower had a leak, and mold was visible in areas.

The location in the Marais allowed easy access to local attractions. The room felt small but comfortable, and staff were friendly. The breakfast options could improve.
